Dolphins in their natural habitat
The rich coastal waters of the Algarve are home to several species of dolphins that we observe frequently, such as the Common dolphin (Delphinus delphis), the Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), the Rissos dolphin (Grampus griseus) and the little and "shy" Harbor Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena), considered a vulnerable species.
Get the opportunity to watch other species in the Algarve Coast
In addition, we cannot forget other species of cetaceans occasionally observed, residents and others just passing, such as the Minke Whale (Balaenoptera acutorostrata), the Orca (Orcinus orca) or the Striped dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba).
From other animal groups, we can also come across sea turtles, such as the Loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) and the Green turtle (Chelonia mydas), sharks such as the Basking shark (Cetorhinus maximus), the Hammer shark (Sphyrna spp.) and the Blue shark (Prionace glauca), and numerous seabirds like the Gannet (Morus bassanus), Corys shearwater (Calonectris diomedea), several Sea swallows (Sterna spp.) and Seagulls (Larus spp.).
Enjoy the Algarve Coast
Bring your family and friends and take this adventure on board a RIB (rigid inflatable boat), fast and environmentally friendly, with all the safety and comfort, as only the Beach Hut can provide you, and share unique experiences by navigating on this magical world of dolphins and all the surrounding marine wildlife in their natural habitat.
Observations 100% guaranteed
As the observation of dolphins in the wild is not predictable, it is possible that we will not find them on one of our trips. However, if this occurs you can always board again for free on another trip (under booking).
Dolphin watching with ecology and safety
We use crafts specifically designed for this type of trips, fast, secure and very comfortable, approved with all safety rules and respecting the Regulation of EU emissions-RCD. The boats are powered with four stroke outboard engines and are ultra silent and crew manning for 12 passengers. The use of life jackets is compulsory for both children and adults.
